work

it was a rather hectic week.

tue 12 mar 06:
i had to work overtime. not the usual paperwork.. but to shift our things to the new working place. though the new clinic was just a corridor away, it was still considered far when 4 pathetic ladies have to move everything. we actually asked 2 men over to help us.. they came, moved 1 little cupboard and they went missing.. in the end we ladies did the job. thank god.. dr li and dr ric came over to help. i cut my little index finger... :( dr li plastered it for me.. suddenly.. i began to miss him a little. he will be heading back to his hometown soon. i was just pondering.. excited yet afraid.. who will be the new medical officer in april?

wed 13 mar 06:
first day at the new clinic.
the staff seemed rather hostile. hopefully.. i was wrong.
the place was small.
they gave me one consult room.. in which i had to share with the medical officers. though they only see patients in the afternoon, i just didn't felt right sharing the room with them. most of the time i still lingered in the treatment room with the nurses.
now.. the oncology dept bascially worked in our little corner. we tried to stay a distance from the other new colleagues we've met.. to minimise any further miscommunications.
the whole afternoon.. the 4 of us.. we felt so upset.. and demoralised over the new workplace. nothing seemed to be smooth. thank god.. our patients gave us the biggest motivations to remain here. otherwise......
i had lunch with jeremy that afternoon.. almost coughed my lungs out to him. i just can't stop complaining..
perhaps i just need time to adapt to the new working environment.

thur 16 mar 06: finally.. i see some light in my new working location. they claimed that they are gonna expand the place.. lets pray...

fri 17 mar 06: we just need more time to settle in the new place i guessed. after work, i headed home. took a quick nap before dear, qiang, min, hui n jeff & yt came over for mahjong session. again.. heez. we played till 5am. yawnz... i was exhausted.

sat 18 mar 06: min called to wake me up ard 10am. we had band practice. dear told me he was going.. thus i woke up to prepare. but when i was leaving home ard 12pm, i realised he was still in bed!!! argh... this man... but never mind i went for band practice alone. the others were already there. i was late. as usual. hehz.. we played theatre music. horrendous.... my fingers could not even coordinate properly.. i felt damn pissed when i can't play. the feeling jus *ucks. and yup i guessed i was an open book. many know i was not my usual self. tanny asked me a no. of times whether i'm alright. the truth is i wasn't. then we had 1 hr of sectional practice. shifu wenxiang came to teach. and the precious meaningful 1 hr.. helped me a lot.. at least it brought back my confidence. the last time i had an actual band practice was dunno how many decade years ago... i hope i can pick it up real soon.. otherwise i wouldn't be in time to go for competition. band ended ard 4pm.

i went over to dear's place. he was still lazing on bed! then tog with his family, we went to teban to pray.. then headed to suntec foodfair. :) the food was more or less the same as the foodfairs we used to go. we stinked badly after the whole thing. hahaz.. then we proceeded to our usual place. giant. and then james send us back to my place. back home, dear made me laughed like crazy.. his jokes as usual. i really had a good laugh. we slacked at home for a while before we took daddy's car and went out. we went over to jeff's place and waited for them. then the 2 cars headed to plaza sing for a movie. sweet love story.. yours, mine, ours.. the movie ended ard 4am.. i was really exhausted at the end of the day... dear stayed over at my place.

sun 19 mar 06: i went over to meet dear for lunch as usual. then went back to his place. suddenly i realised i forget to sent the neccesary documents to NUS> they emailed me but i never check my mail. thus...... the date is over. dear said i'm very blur. he always said i'm blur and careless.. he just thinks i'm very a real bimbo.. haha.. yup sometimes i can't help it but to admit too. ;p

Life doesn't always have to be painful - but pain is still the main reason we change. until we're in pain, we can pretend.
when i said this, i believed my darlings will strongly agree. now that all have gone thru the lowest point of their relationships, i hope things will be smooth sailing for them. :)
