Farewell
Finally, its my turn to bid farewell to Pfizer Clinical research Unit.
mixed feelings throughout. on one hand, i don't want to leave this great bunch of people. yet i am extremely excited for the new challenge.
anyway yep.. they organized a farewell dinner at Kushinbo and drinks at balaclava for me last week. thank you so much sweets. i noe i can never thank all of you enough.
my last day at work, i struggled with my emotions the entire day. i received the biggest present in my life. So lovely. it is gigantic, a human size teddy. i think it cost a bomb, cos the last time i saw, it was priced $499. omg... thank you adeline and the rest. i really adore all of you..
Endless of handshakes, numerous hugs and thousands of wishes. they almost made me tear. even my big boss, she gave me the warmest hug and the most reliable words of advice. suddenly i realize i am missing the place already. the laughters, the great companion, the teamwork, the wonderful colleagues/friends. finally... the ignorant "xiao mei mei" me have to leave the comfort zone and soar~~.
5 more days, i still don't believe it. everything happened too rapidly, i didn't have sufficient time to consider, let alone adjusting my emotions.
honestly speaking it wasn't planned. it has been at the back of my mind since my polytechnic graduation. but i didn't really have the courage to give it a go. i contemplated because the amount of sacrifices were too heavy for me to shoulder. time with my loved ones, being independent, a complete career switch, 2 years to forgo for relevant working experience, confidence in water, even sleeping alone in a foreign hotel room, i am intimidated. omg..
but the pros emerged in my brain - the opportunity to travel, the opportunity to learn and improve, the wonderful once a lifetime experience, the opportunity to meet diff people with diff culture from all over the world. and perhaps god knows, it will jus be my career for life......
i just want to be as positive as i can to move on into a new career. optimism will keep me going. =)
oh yep.. a news from a good friend made my last day a little happier. i am so proud of him. i noe he will do it, and indeed! wishing him all the best in his future endeavors and i am sure he will excel in the prestigious lifetime career. =)
