1 short stay in dubai
i was taken aback when i checked in for duty in control centre. there were 4 probationals. again. and i am the most senior amongst them. yes again. hence i have to work as b2 galley work for both sectors. this flight is an interesting one as the work position allocation for crew is so restricted. no wonder we were given 16 crew members instead of 15. in the economy class, the supposed 2 ranking crew - leading steward and stewardess were both stewardess and steward acting up. and one girl who is less than a year flying is working as c2 - aft galley work, then followed by me b2 - fwd galley work, then a 3rd month flying fss working in the aft as stewardess alone - c3, and in the fwd galley i have 2 junior stewardesses both 2nd solos working as b3 and b4. there is no ranking crew in economy class at all! amazing isn't it. mind you both sectors are full load up and down. i almost died, but i think my acting leading steward will perish before me. haha because he has 3 of us to take care. i am still not very confident in my galley work, let alone to help the 2 second solos gers. omg. nevertheless, i tried my best. the blessing is my acting leading steward is a good man. hehe.

however i am also happy to have eve with me. we knew each other through the forum before we joined sia. we have chatted on msn and via smses during our training days. i even took a photo for her class, without knowing she is in the class. hehe. finally we did a flight together. she recognised me. hehe. she is a lovely ger and a good crew to work with. =)
i did not step out of the hotel room in dubai. i've done all the possible sightseeing the previous time. anyway this is a short stay. we arrived around 9pm in dubai, the following day our call time was 5pm. i was kept occupied with the dvd bought from shanghai, and my tummy was kept contented with the drystores bf sponsered. =)
