back from brisbane

I'm back from my standby called up brisbane flight. i've been doing too many brisbanessss, only when junel is back in sin. =( anyway yea this is one of the bad flights that i've to do once in a while.

first, ifs was exceptionally panicky and jumpy. he did his own CIQ and pre flight information that all of us have to read his email, reply his email and get the information of 6 pages printed out before briefing for flight commences. while introducing to the ranking crew i get the vibes that they arent so friendly, and i am so right. in fact they are zappy, of cos no names mentioned in this open blog. in the midst of our briefing, a caucasian walked into the room, introduced himself as the caas of the flight. yea heard of it but rarely happen on your flt yea. the man who will check on ur ceac cards, sep cards, and to all safety issues of your flight. so it became a more tensed up flight for the already stressed ifs and the rest of us.

thankfully, just a few flights back, i was casually informed that the new ceac card only starts on 31 aug 09 because i've carelessly brought the new ceac card leaving the old ceac card at home since 31 jul. i was lucky someone jus happened to touch on the topic and i was reminded. everything happen for a reason, then few days later the real caas appeared on my flight. if not for the casual reminder, i would have lose my job?!

anyway back to this brisbane flight, thank goodness i was blessed with the nicest chief stewardess and fss jie wei for both sectors. ifs grouped us together, how nice. premium class and economy aft class was hell. i was really really fortunate. phew. the ranking crew members other than my lovely css, were bitchy, zappy and crude.

apart from the horror at work, i missed dinner at brisbane because i could not get bf for the past 5hrs, overly anxious me gave him 60 missed calls in 5hours. he was the one who asked me to ring him, and when i did i jus could not get him. from frustation to worry. and when i decided to have my meal, all were closed at 5pm brisbane's time. sigh. but at least i manage to get some snacks from the supermarket.

back to my room, while waiting for bf's call, my face and all starts to itch. and i know my friend, eczema is coming after me. arghx. i operated on the flt back, with the constant itch on my face throughout the return sector. and when i am finally home, removed my makeup and i saw red patches on my face. i saw swelling around my eye areas too. =( i am heading to see the doctor now. sobx. eczema leave shandy alone...

Everytime i returned from a bad flight, i asked myself, "is it time to leave?" everytime ecezma comes after me, i asked myself, "is it time to change a job?" this time both came together. i know it may be many girls' dream job, air stewardess of singapore airlines, getting paid very well to travel around the globe, being in the beautiful kebaya, and getting the envious look from everyone when we walk in it. frankly, it is not a terrible job, but it has its pros and cons. every job has it. the cheif stewardess mentioned, "if you start finding yourself dreading to go to work, then find another job, you must love what you are doing. afterall, money cant buy happiness." i so so agree with her. but i am not ready to leave this job now, i will persevere till the right time. cant wait for the bond to end though. lol.
