I am having a hard time dealing with my brother lately. actually it has been a while, but it gets tougher these few months. my brother retained for a year, thus at the age of 16, he is still in the secondary 3 level. nevertheless he is in the express stream.. my family runs out of ways to handle him. endless calls from the school, i receive them overseas too because my mum and dad just dont know what to say to the teachers anymore. no punishment serve a warning to him, suspend or expel i think he will be more than happy. when we asked the reason for skipping school, he either couldnt name them, or brush us away with nonsensical reasons like "i am ill, my homework is not done, my face has outbreak, my school uniform is too tight, my phone is not working, my computer crashed and my homework is left in it. " awww.. all the excuses, we are so sick of them... but we cant really force him, as in literally drag his legs to school, right? afterall he is no longer a 6 year old, but a 16 year old, almost adult. so guys tell me, is he just the typical rebellious teenager nowadays? sigh... sometimes i detest being at home because i need to face my slacker brother and hear my mum screams at him everyday. argh!

sometimes i wonder if the strawberry generation as crew talks about is really an issue. i have 4 part timers for my shop, and yes they were all from the strawberry generation; those who were born after 1990. 3 of them are still doing their diploma/ite courses, and they worked part time with me, the other 1 dropped out from school and is working full time with us. these children report sick almost twice a week, some came up with excuses like family members meeting with accident and such. i had been through that phase, i used that kind of excuses too, but i dont do it twice a week!! and it took me a lot of courage to decide to report sick to my employer! and these strawberry gene y only tell you they are not fit for work 1 hour before reporting time, if we are lucky, else maybe 10mins after work is suppose to start! gosh... speechless huh..

enough of whining, i need to make myself happier with other events of my life.... i had a feast with my besties on april fool's day, the night before bf and i left for cameron highlands... as suggested by jeffrey, we had buffet ala-carte seafood dinner at lotus garden restuarant, a thai chinese dining place. there were so many dishes on the menu, we kept ordering, it became a 21-courses dinner. the food was not too bad, and it includes shark fins, fishes, prawns, all types of meat etc. =)

as usual, after dinner, we had mahjong session.. and it ended around 1am.

Then the same night, 3am, i set off to cameron highlands with bf's extended family! =)) woo! bf has one of the nicest family members.. regardless of age, they were all fun-loving! it is one of the most relaxing holiday i have had, i dont have to plan the iternary, i dont have to give directions, i dont have to look at the map, i dont have to crack my brains to find good dining places.. i just realise i need this kind of holiday more.. we stayed in st vernon bunglalow, with a big garden full of beautiful flowers... and the perfect weather to just sit, chill and play in the garden. there is a personal housekeeper and chef for us too. her cooking is soo good! yummy! everyday, we will have breakfast at 8.30am, lunch at 1pm, tea break at 4pm and dinner at 8pm. sometimes supper at 1am too... i laughed alot throughout the trip, because the jokes were total hilarious, a few of us almost roll on the floor and die laughing... i even laughed in my dreams, hokkiens name it -hum bin- hehe. i did a fair amount of farm visits too, plucking strawberries, choosing vegetables...
